Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a Director of Building Envelopes to work alongside the founder and principal and grow with the company. We are ready to hire a driven, progressive and innovative professional with experience in similar roles. We will rely upon that experience and look to this professional to establish the path for future hires and growth. This person should be willing to make mistakes, admit and learn from them, and share the lessons with their team(s). The ideal candidate must be comfortable with giving and receiving direct feedback, establishing and executing project and team goals and working with contractors, clients and team members to achieve them. Most importantly, the candidate should have great management skills and be able to act with minimal guidance based on the vision of the company.

THE ROLE:

You’ll assist with establishing the strategic vision and be responsible for day-to-day operations of a team of building envelope professionals. Your leadership will drive business growth, ensure project excellence, and foster a culture of innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare construction documents for restoration of facades, roofs and waterproofing.
  • Promote a trusting environment that fosters employee growth and embodies company culture and core values.
  • Identify new work opportunities and prepare proposals for potential projects with new or existing clients.
  • Ensure operational staff productivity and timely deliverable creation.
  • Assist in assessing staffing needs, recruitment, hiring and training in collaboration with the Principal.
  • Ensures that deliverables, including reports and proposals, prepared by staff members meet Duffy Engineering’s high standards.
  • Assists in marketing activities to promote the company and build relationships with current and future clients.
  • Resolves issues that are presented by our clients and team members in a quick and satisfactory manner.

  • Competitive salary ($150,000 – $200,000) per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills and qualifications.
